New Moon

While the full moon is a common theme and symbol in many media, few are those who can truly catch it in photo. I know for sure that my Canon Powershot digital camera can't. I love how the details are visible, and the whiteness if the miin almost shines. Pros: a beautiful and sharp picture.

However, I must say that the title of this deviation is misleading. A new moon is when the moon is dark, or barely a sliver. It is the complete opposite of the subject. Maybe it was your intention...? Also, the background leaves to desire a little. Although I admit that a black background brings the moon out, it is a little... Simple. But do not take my words for truth, since I have no experience in photography beyond the everyday pictures. Could it be that such a powerful camera would rule out the rest of the sky? Cons: mostly the title. I can't say about the background for sure.
